Foss Creek Pathway
To date, Coastland has prepared feasibility studies for ten pathway segments and designs for three segments to develop a key bicycle and pedestrian pathway along the SMART corridor in downtown Healdsburg. Services have also included perparing hydrology and hydraulic calculations, upgrading storm drain facilities and addressing environmental concerns. The pathway meanders between trees along the railroad tracks, tying into the Railroad Depot. For safety and security, a six foot fence separates the railroad from the pathway and decorative lighting was installed through the length of the project. Coastland has completed design of the first two pathway segments and is currently finalizing design documents for the Front Street to the Intermodal Facility section near the Railroad Depot. When all segments are complete, the Foss Creek Pathway will play a significant role in growing the community and encouraging transit-oriented development.
