Coastland Civil Engineering

Coastland has successfully assisted several jurisdictions in obtaining funding through a variety of financing techniques and sources to successfully meet the goals and objectives of our clients. Assistance has included assessment engineering (1911, 1913, 1915, 1972, and 1982 Act districts), development of AB 1600 Development Impact Fee Programs, Rule 20-A utility undergrounding projects, and assistance in obtaining grants and loans (ISTEA, TEA-21, TEA, HBRR, CDBG, FAA, ER, FEMA, TLC, California Infrastructure Bank, Redevelopment Agencies, USDA, State Water Quality Control Board, State Revolving Loan, State Parks and Recreation, State Boating and Waterways and other competitive funding sources).

Our history of providing municipal services has enabled us to obtain numerous resources and contacts in the funding community. We have assisted small and large communities in obtaining funding for projects ranging from water system improvements to streetscape projects.

We are intimately familiar with the provisions of Proposition 218 and have assisted jurisdictions in meeting the requirements of thorough balloting, conducting public information meetings and protest hearings and assistance in public outreach programs.

In total, Coastland has performed assessment engineering for over $50 million of improvements funded by the sale of municipal bonds and maintains on an ongoing basis, annual maintenance assessment districts that raise over $1.5 million annually for several jurisdictions.
