Senior Building Plans Examiners

Coastland | DCCM, a multi-disciplinary engineering services firm recognized for performing highly technical and quality plan checks, is currently seeking experienced Building Plans Examiners with a minimum of 7 years of progressive experience working in and with municipal building departments. There are currently two open positions in our Santa Rosa and Auburn offices:

• Structural Plans Examiner: this position will perform structural plan check for our ongoing municipal and 3rd party clients.
• Non-structural Plans Examiner: this position will perform non-structural plan check for our ongoing municipal and 3rd party clients.

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in municipal plan checking.
• ICC and/or ICBO Plans Examiner or Combination certifications.
• CA Licensed Professional Engineer or Architect (for Structural Plans Examiner).
• BS in Civil, Structural or Architectural Engineering, or BS in Architecture (preferred).
• California Certified Access Specialist (CASp) or CBO certification are a plus.
• Able to work in a collaborative environment and interact with staff, clients, architects and government agencies.
• Proficient user of Microsoft Office 365.
• Excellent customer service skills
• US Citizen
