Project Description
As contract City Engineer for the City of Piedmont, Coastland | DCCM prepared all documents related to the application for Active Transportation Program (ATP) Cycle 2 funds in 2015. The funds requested from ATP were $3,062,000 with local matching funds of $394,000. The goal of the project was to improve safety for pedestrians and vehicles along three major streets in the Piedmont community.
The application consisted of exhibits of plans, engineers estimate, travel and collision reports, reports from public meetings, and letters of support from the City, Piedmont Unified School District, Piedmont Education Foundation, Bike East Bay, Piedmont Connect, the neighboring City of Oakland, and community leaders.
The application resulted in the funding of projects along Highland Avenue, Grand Avenue and Oakland Avenue.
