Project Description

Coastland | DCCM provided expedited plan review and inspection service for BioMarin Pharmaceutical, Inc., the largest biotech/life sciences enterprise in the City of Novato occupying over 500,000 sf in the Bel Marin Keyes Industrial Park area.  The BioMarin company makes treatments for rare genetic diseases that primarily hit children.

The project presented a multifaceted and challenging scope requiring plan review and inspection services for architectural, accessibility, CALGreen, energy compliance, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, process piping, civil, structural and chemical/hazardous material components.

The project is a winner of the 2018 ISPE (International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering) Facility of the Year Award for the Project Execution category.  ISPE is a global association dedicated to leading scientific, technical and regulatory advancement throughout the entire pharmaceutical lifecycle.
