Project Description
Coastland | DCCM provided program management, coordination and lead design on the multi-use pathway along the 70-mile SMART rail corridor from Larkspur to Cloverdale. Involvement included station interface, public coordination, local street connections, ADA compliance, drainage, grading, and retaining wall design to minimize environmental and right-of-way impacts. The team performed extensive coordination with all project stakeholders to establish the best possible pathway alignment and to ensure seamless transitions during project phasing.
“Coastland has been an integral member of the SMART team, assisting with the design and implementation of the SMART passenger rail and multi-use pathway system from our early engineering efforts. They have consistently produced quality work products in a timely manner. The Coastland staff has worked effectively with SMART staff, consultants and contractors in team fashion to advance the project. I especially appreciate their ability to blend into our team and function as though they were staff.”
