Project Description
Coastland | DCCM provided plan review, construction management and inspection services on the City of Ione’s Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrade project. The project has comprised multiple stages including the installation of the Field Header Pipe, which involved installing approximately 1,600 lineal feet of HDPE pipe to allow for secondary, un-disinfected water to be used in the irrigation. By close coordination with the contractor the header installation was completed in nine days—much less than the scheduled 25 days. Any field issues were resolved at the project level and City personnel were informed during all phases of construction.
Coastland | DCCM also provided Construction Management and Inspection services during the removal and disposal of biosolids in the primary pond at the City Wastewater Treatment Plant. The scope included dewatering, sludge removal, permitting and hauling. Through coordination and prompt management responses, substantial project completion occurred in 12 out of 30 days. Coastland | DCCM negotiated change orders to best utilize funding.
“Coastland has gone out of their way for a small City. Their staff has shown a keen interest in the City’s goals and an in-depth understanding of how to achieve them. Their construction inspection and design staff has been a great asset to the City.”
Tim Kiser, City Engineer, City of Grass Valley
